Frequently Asked Questions
01 Do I need to bring my own rifle?
You may bring your own rifle (subject to permit requirements) or rent one from us. We have a selection of quality rifles in various calibres suitable for plains game hunting. Ammunition is available for purchase.
02 What is the best time to hunt?
Hunting is excellent year-round in Botswana. The dry season (May-October) offers easier tracking and game viewing. The green season (November-April) provides lush landscapes and rutting activity for certain species.
03 Can non-hunters join the safari?
Non-hunters may join the hunt as observers; however, they will not be entitled to the privileges granted to hunters unless they pay the applicable daily hunter rate. Observers will be limited to spectating and will not be permitted to participate in the hunting of any animals.
04 How do I get to your location?
We are located 300 km (approximately a 4-hour drive) from Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in Gaborone. The journey includes approximately 2 hours on tarred road, followed by an exciting 2-hour off-road adventure across the Kalahari sands. We offer ground transfers from Sir Seretse Khama International Airport to our ranch in Western Sandveld. Transfer arrangements must be made at the time of booking.
05 What documentation do I need?
You’ll need a valid passport (6+ months validity), hunting license, firearm permits (if bringing firearms), and any required Visas. We assist with all documentation and permit applications
